Day-In-The-Life at Azari Rug Gallery
Anyone who has scrolled through the Azari Rug Gallery website or visited our storefront can tell you that it is quite an extensive operation with many moving parts. We sell, clean, restore, appraise, and much more all in a day’s work! This post is here to offer an overview of our services and give you a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how we operate.
Our business days start off like many mornings do: with coffee! Our early-arriving staff will usually brew a pot of coffee for the whole team while we all settle into the day. From there, we clean the store before opening and check the schedule for the day. By the time the shop opens, it is perfectly tidy, and we are all excited to greet our clients!
Our administrative and sales staff are the first and last faces clients see after they come in the door. They are responsible for answering the phone, answering questions from curious passers-by, and gathering the necessary information on the pieces that come in for wash and repair. Our administrative team also maintains our website, social media, and inventory!
Throughout the day, our sales team meets with clients (sometimes by appointment, sometimes from walk-ins) and helps them select the best possible rug for their space. We usually start this process by asking what size the client is looking for and then sort through our stacks to get a feel for what suits their style and needs. Clients get the opportunity to compare their favorite rugs side-by-side and our sales team aids the process by offering expert opinions formed on years of experience.
In addition to in-store sales, our sales team travels to people’s houses for in-home consultation appointments. They also head pick-up and delivery runs for our wash and repair departments, allowing our clients to sit back, relax, and have their rugs taken care of without ever having to leave their home.
Our wash and labor team spends the day washing rugs using our 10-step cleaning process and helping to maintain organization within the gallery. They move the rugs all about the gallery and are crucial to keeping us all from getting lost amongst the stacks. Not to mention the great care they take in washing rugs!
Our repair team has undergone extensive training to be able to expertly restore damaged rugs that are brought to us. They spend the day fixing fringe, reweaving pile, and much more to keep your rugs looking as though they are brand new!
As the sun sets on our day, we all work together to reset the store. We organize the store and prep for the upcoming morning. Come in to be a part of our day; you and your rug will be well taken care of!
